1. You’re Over the Age of 42
Being in perimenopause actually lasts longer than the common menopause. On an average, menopause hits at the age of 52. For most women, perimenopause can last a decade and starts around the age of 42.
2. You Experience Irregular Periods
No, it’s not about getting your periods a few days late. It’s more about getting them a month or two late. Sometimes, you might not see them for three to six months at a stretch.

Sure, you have kids who take up most of your energy during the day. But if you don’t feel aroused in the bedroom, it may not be only because of your hectic schedules. Perimenopause lowers your libido. You can talk to your doctor to help you get your sex drive back for more action in the bedroom.
8. You’re Using Lotion More Than Ever
Your skin might feel a lot drier than before. You’ll find yourself reaching for your moisturizer in the morning, afternoon and night. Many women also experience skin flare-ups and cases of allergies or eczema during perimenopause.
